Real Mom Story

January 17, 2020
My name is Andri, and I would like to share my journey with KABRITA Goat Milk Formula over the last year.Let me first start with a clear and accurate picture of reality….to inject some comedy. We went from a family of 3 to a family of 5.

My daughter was four years old when we got the amazing news we were expecting Twin Girls! (FYI, twins do not run in either of our families and yes this was all natural). Thank goodness I was lying down when the news was delivered 🙂

Our pregnancy was great. We delivered two healthy babies at just past 36 weeks, each over the 2kg mark (yes I was huge) and all released home after 3 days.

My intention was to breastfeed the girls for as long as my body could provide just as I had with our eldest. We quickly discovered that our girls had a lactose sensitivity (not intolerance), which meant that they struggled to process the lactose. This resulted in stomach cramping, bloating and sometimes vomiting. Between 6 weeks to 5 months, I was expressing roughly 1 litre of milk a day and breastfeeding, but this was not enough for these hungry babies. We tried 5 different formulas as a top-up. It was tough; eventually, they settled on two different Lactose-Free formulas as a top-up.

Once they reached 4 months and we felt their digestive systems might be strong enough to try lactose again…..drum roll….KABRITA.
We have never looked back, and our babies took to it better than any of the other organic cows’ milk formulas on the market. They are the picture of health, happiness and mischief!
They are also big twins (11.5kgs each at 1year), exactly like our eldest at this age. With our eldest, I breastfed for a few months longer and topped up with a goat milk powder.

With our Twins, when my body no longer could produce the amount of milk or was just too tired, to be honest, we moved exclusively onto KABRITA.
My moto is happy and healthy Mommy and Babies…this was achieved.

On the 19th of November 2019 they celebrated their first birthday. I thank God for KABRITA!
Our girls are thriving and the twins have recently moved onto the Stage 3 follow up formula….and loving it. No surprises there.

Thank you to the KABRITA family who has provided excellent services and care throughout our journey. The Drakes family will forever be singing your praises!

Big love and thank you
Drakes Family of 5
